Harris Ice
Walker Harris, founder of Harris Ice, a West Side ice manufacturing company, received a term loan from CCV to expand his production facility and increase the company’s production capacity.
Due to capacity constraints at his facility, Mr. Harris had been turning away business and outsourcing production. The loan from CCV allowed Harris Ice to expand its production, and the business support the company received helped it to improve operational practices which improved profits and made it easy for the company to make regular loan payments.
CCV is proud to work with business owners like Mr. Harris who is a true community leader. His company hires employees from the low and moderate income neighborhoods on Chicago’s West Side surrounding his business, and he also makes it a practice to hire ex-felons when many employers won’t.
